Maya Gorges shot this buck early opening morning with her 20 ga, after it passed directly under her tree. It was following a doe, and simultaneously pushing away a small buck behind him.
Pete Thompson of the Feather's party, shot this nice 8 pt, as it crossed the field in front of his stand. A nice longer shot with his .30-06. The highlight was allowing his 6 yr old grandson Daniel (below left)track the blood through the snow and find the deer!
I had an exciting but short 2022 season when this buck walked within shooting range of my crossbow after just 90 minutes in my tree stand the Sunday before Halloween. He died underwater in the wet stuff making for an damp recovery.
